Goal of this position:
To provide technical support for the installation or service of Viessmann equipment.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Provide telephone support for Viessmann commercial and residential boilers, burners, tanks, controls and related products.
- Coordinate the troubleshooting of Viessmann related heating systems with contractors, sales representatives and other stakeholders as required.
- Recommend service parts to field contractors and coordinate with Inside Sales.
- Assist field technicians, sales representatives, and other Viessmann staff as required.
- Provide technical support outside regular business hours as required - for clarification: the employee will not be required to carry a mobile phone to be on call, unless in single exceptional circumstances.
- Report product service issues to the Assistant Technical Service Manager on a regular basis or as required.
- Extraordinary and additional tasks as may be required by the course of business.
Prerequisites for Position
Education and professional experience:
- Technical courses in Plumbing, Heating, and Controls, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience installing and servicing heating equipment is preferred.
Skills and competencies:
- Strong analytical thinking skills.
- Motivated and willing to demonstrate own initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable with strong organizational skills.
