Goals/objectives of this position:
We are seeking a Digital Platforms Specialist with expertise in testing digital applications and control logic. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal departments, and external customers to ensure seamless functionality and continuous improvement of digital platforms.
Detailed responsibilities:
- Competent in test planning, test execution for functional, Integration and system testing.
- Conduct rigorous testing of control board logic, documenting findings in detailed test logs.
- Reproduce errors reported by the technical department and provide clear, actionable feedback.
- Submit and track detailed support tickets for software issues, collaborating with a multinational team of developers to implement fixes.
- Program and test PLC-based control panels and perform quality assurance tests.
- Assist in-house production and assembly teams by troubleshooting programming or assembly issues and contributing to the improvement of manufacturing assembly instructions.
- Provide technical support, coaching, and direction to end users and Service Technicians.
- Perform start-up, verification, and troubleshooting tasks, either on-site or remotely, as needed.
- Ensure project files, schematics, and documentation are updated and maintained consistently.
Skills and competencies:
- Expertise in testing Embedded Devices, IoT, Firmware, and mobile (Android & iOS) applications.
- Experience with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, LON, N2, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on identifying and resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills for tracking testing processes and issue resolution.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams, including international collaboration.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
